Description
For sale, a 1950s Philips tradesman’s / Butcher’s bike. One company owner from new. Handmade in England.
This was 1 of 4 bikes owned by B.O.C.M in Selby, this particular one was used for the internal post until the factory closed and was retired from duty by a previous employee who rode it at the factory delivering the mail.
It is totally original except for a new laced up Brooks leather saddle and a new front wheel and tyre. A wicker basket is included for carrying goods up front.
This bike has a single speed gear, so would make a good run about for short journeys or flat terrain. It could also be used for advertising your shop or business by hanging an advertising board from the top tube.
Second hand condition – spots of surface rust here and there. Like most vintage cycles it’s not perfect!
