1960s Elswick Ladies Town Bike – Sold

5 Oct

For sale, a 1960s Elswick Ladies town bike. Handmade in England.

The Elswick Cycle Company was located near Newcastle Upon Tyne, a company so long in tradition it can be dated back to the 1800’s

Restored by the Vintage Cycle Company; this ladies town bike has 26” wheels with knobbly road tyres ready for all riding conditions. Original mud guards are maintained for wet weather cycling and a brand new wicker basket provide ample room for shopping and running errands.

The cycle is in its original condition and specification with a classic 3 speed Sturmey Archer internal gear hub.

The cycle has been serviced to our usual high standard, so the groupset is tight, the wheels are true and strong, the chain is lubricated and the various bearings and hubs have been cleaned and oiled. New brake cables and inner tubes have been fitted.

An absolute pleasure to ride – incredibly classy with a bright blue colour scheme.

Second hand condition – spots of surface rust here and there.

Collection in person from Leeds, West Yorkshire.

Alternatively, a courier can be arranged within the UK for an additional £21. (Arrives complete, so no reassembly required)

If you are based outside the UK, please contact us for further details/arrangements.

Cash, cheque, paypal or bank transfer.
